Who is responsible.
I am Antonius de Kok, the person responsible for the use of personal information on this website. You can reach me through the contact page, including for privacy questions or requests.
When you get in touch.
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message. If you arrive from a particular architecture or enquiry link, the form may also include that context. These details are used to respond to you and handle relevant follow-up.
The basis for ordinary correspondence is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and conducting my work. Where you ask about a potential engagement, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before an agreement. Information required for a legal obligation is kept on that basis.
Submitting a message does not subscribe you to a mailing list. Please leave sensitive personal information and confidential material out of your first enquiry. The form does not accept file uploads.
The services involved.
- Formspree
- Receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to my email. It may process technical information for delivery, security, and spam prevention. Formspree privacy policy .
- Hostnet
- Provides my email service, where correspondence is received and handled. Hostnet privacy notice .
- OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare
- Provide website hosting and delivery. Technical request information, such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time, may be processed to operate and protect these services. See the OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy .
These providers operate internationally. Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Their notices describe international processing and transfer protections. You can contact me for information about the safeguards applicable to your correspondence.
Links to publications, bookshops, and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Visitor statistics and cookies.
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, popular pages, and loading performance. Cloudflare describes this service as operating without analytics cookies, local-storage identifiers, or visitor fingerprinting. It provides aggregate statistics rather than a personal browsing profile. About Cloudflare Web Analytics .
The site does not use advertising pixels or marketing cookies. Hosting and security services may process technical request data separately from analytics. Fonts and the site’s visual assets are served from this website.
How long information is kept.
Inactive ordinary enquiries are deleted 12 months after the last substantive exchange. If correspondence becomes part of an ongoing engagement, agreement, or legal matter, relevant records may be kept for that purpose or for an applicable legal retention period.
This covers enquiry copies under my control, including email and any submission archive in use. Providers may retain separate security logs or backups for the periods described in their own policies.
Your choices and rights.
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also have rights to restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive a portable copy where applicable. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions.
Use the contact form with “Privacy request” as the subject. I may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence before acting. If the form is unavailable, you can reply to previous correspondence from me. You can also complain to your national data protection authority .
This notice will be updated if the way this site handles information changes.
